Why? Tangi Be Happy

31 October 2024
7pm - 9.30pm (Tapere Nui, Te Auaha)

A kinda-not-funny comedy about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, hosted by so-called Māori elitist, Hori.

Why? Tangi Be Happy is a not so funny stand-up comedy showcase about the state of our political climate in Aotearoa today. It is a reflection of the recent attacks on Te Tiriti o Waitangi by the Coalition Government which seek to take our country back to the Dark Ages. Why? Tangi Be Happy looks to shine some light on the topic, open up dialogue around Te Tiriti o Waitangi and make us laugh about something that makes some of us want to cry.

Host and so-called Māori elitist Hori has roped in his comedic minions Courtney Dawson, Janaye Henry and Joey Daymond to question the insanity that we are seeing. Be there for Why? Tangi Be Happy as Hori and his guests invite you to ask where we see ourselves in the future of our country.
