The Wellington Comedy Club, with Jamaine Ross and Nick Rado

29 June 2024
8pm - 9:45pm (Tapere Nui, Te Auaha, 65 Dixon Street, Wellington)

The Wellington Comedy Club brings the country's best and brightest comedians together in a 2 hour comedy showcase.
This month's show highlights some of our favourite Māori and Pasifika performers from around Aotearoa.

MC'd by Jamaine Ross
Jamaine Ross is a born and bred Christchurchian who is a well-known comedic face on the stand-up circuit as ‘The Māori guy with the beard and the hat‘, who has roots in Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu and probably somewhere in Scotland.
His comedy is a mixture of storytelling, observations and social commentary, all delivered from the perspective of a middle-class urban Māori who watches professional wrestling.

With headline act Nick Rado
Nick Rado is a multi-award winning writer, MC and clean stand-up comedian.
He is the five-time winner of the NZ Comedy Guild Award for Best Comedy MC. Nick also recently performed at a sold-out Sydney Opera House for the prestigious Just for Laughs Sydney showcase for The Comedy Channel on Foxtel, Australia, as well as opening for Russell Howard on his latest NZ tour.
